I trained to be a doctor at University College London and completed my postgraduate vocational training as a GP on the Northwick Park Hospital vocational training scheme. My experience there fostered the particular interest I have in psychiatry and children's health today. I also gained experience in occupational health working as a medical officer for London Transport. I worked for nearly 20 years as a GP with 6 years as a GP Trainer in South Bristol before moving here to Little Stoke in 2006.
I enjoy the range of General Practice but also have particular interests in mental health and paediatrics as I have mentioned as well as dermatology and dermoscopy for skin problems and changing moles, joint injections and minor surgery. I am a keen distance runner which has increased my expertise in sports injuries sadly often from personal experience. I believe that General Practice is the heart of the NHS and try to ensure it remains so through my work as Chairman of Avon Local Medical Committee and as a Director for GP Care.
I am executive partner in Concord Medical Centre and as such I am the lead partner for development and management of the practice.
